It was not the birth of my son. In fact it was my 1st anniversary, we went to a kali temple for a thanks giving prayer, the panditji told my Mrs that we should visit the temple every year and offer prayer and we should keep 1 Idol in the house so that we should pray to the goddess every morning. From then on I have become a devotee of the goddess. Sory guys! It was not the birth of my son. Other than the magical description of how this temple came about, the Chinese in Tangra are said to be religious and to a certain extent God fearing and superstitious. So, it's more of "when in Rome, do as Romans do". The Chinese community embrace a number of different religious beliefs and this should not be a surprise due to the diversity in India. This is an interesting news story but the site and temple are real.
