I know where to get excellent Hakka style Chili Chicken in my neck of the woods, what I need is a good recipe to make it home if I feel like cooking. Anyone willing to share his/her recipe?

This is the worst Chilli Chicken I have ever come across. There is no sense in what he does. Anyone ever heard of cashew nuts in Chilli Chicken. Any one ever taste the Crispy Chilli Chicken from Eau Chew Restaurant. Now that is a good recipe!

I love Chili Chicken. The only style I have tried is the one found in Hakka restaurants (most of the restaurants that advertise to serve indian-chinese food are Hakka, I believe). Since the consensus is that the above is not Chili Chicken at all, could someone post a good recipe, or link to one? BTW, I have tried many recipes from the web and they do not come even close to the taste of Hakka Chili chicken, I even took a Hakka Cuisine one day class at a college and the chili chicken they taught us how to make was just another run of the mill chicken stir fry. Anyone with a good recipe?

What a chilli chicken in the video.Even the Indian lover of chilli chicken will dispute the taste. It is totally different.Sesamee oil is used as a splash of flavour not as frying oil. This is not a chilli chicken at all.

Chilli Chicken prepared & cooked by Indians is definitely not the same from that prepared & cooked by Indian Chinese - who conjured up this dish as a fusion crossover.

Since it's a big favourite menu item of Indian Chinese restaurants in India, the dish popularity had gained wide recognition and spread over like wildfire - not only among local Indians clientele but also Indian expatriates abroad, where some would even try to cook it at home themselves. Many Indians from New York and Toronto like to patronize Indian Chinese restaurants there for the dish.

I've tried Chilli Chicken from Waldorf Restaurant in Park Street Kolkata(the restaurant closed down many years ago) and know the difference that folks are commenting here. However, think we could be more accommodating or else withdraw this eye-sore video that had disturbed so many viewers.

In its place, Leon should consider putting up a right video of Chilli Chicken in its place.
