Chilli Chicken (Hakka Style)
Ingredients:
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1/2 c vegetable oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 – 8 chicken thighs, skinned and boned
- Salt and White Pepper
- corn starch for coating chicken
- 5 green chillies, chopped coarsely
- 1/2 c water
- 1/4 of msg
- 1/4 c Soya sauce (dark)
- 1/4 Soya sauce (light = salty one)
- 2 tsp corn starch
Preparation:
- 1. Cut up chicken into bite-sized chunks, season with salt and pepper
and coat in a dusting of corn starch. - 2. Deep Fry the chicken in oil in a wok, until browned
- 3. Add chilli, onions and garlic and fry up, stir for
another 30 seconds . - 4. Add the deep fried chicken pieces.
- 5.Stir for about 30 seconds.
- 6.Sesaon with salt, pepper, and msg stir for 30 seconds.
- 7.Add both the Soya sauce (dark + light) and stir it well.
- 8.For gravy add a lil water and in a bowl mix cornstarch with water and
then Toss into the centre of the wok, stir until it thickens into a sauce. - 7. Serve with steamed rice and steamed or stir-fried vegetables.

I love chilli chicken with daal and rice .. tastyyy ….. lol
