Bilateral trade between China and India is expected to hit US$20 billion this year, fulfilling the target set by both governments two years ahead of schedule.

China’s largest power equipment manufacturer Dongfang Electric (DEC), which is in the process of setting up a service centre in Kolkata, may build a power equipment manufacturing base in India. If plans materialise, this would be DEC’s first manufacturing unit outside China.
